Family Circle explores the connections between women through multiple generations. Aspects of self, inherited values, and shared experiences form a family tree of relationships and personal history. The roles of reproduction, mother and child are expressed in this unique artist's book which is encased in a dimensional female form collaged with dried pressed leaves, sheet music and definitions of inherited traits and family relationships. The exterior of the case features a translucent womb, the Family Circle. Inside is an accordion fold book that extends, as an umbilical cord, with photos of four generations.
